Default Should Deldrimor weapons count towards HoM?

I just started making an effort to finish filling up my HoM, and will have my armor monument full soon.

However, I really dont understand why deldrimor weapons cant count for HoM. I hate the tormented and destroyer skins and would prefer to get deldrimor ones, but they cant be placed in HoM which is a lot of wasted money and I would like to start working on filling my weapon monument.

Please sign if you would like deldrimor weapons to be usable on your weapons monument too.

For the armor monument there is plenty of choice over which armors you can buy to count for it, but weapons are limited to just two crappy skins only. At least deldrimor weapons would offer a third choice.

Well ,I assume you're talking about the gold versions, they're not as expensive as torm and probably wouldn't be if the onyx/diamond price got destroyed by vff.

More weapons should be addable to HoM,however doubt many people would want deldrimor stuff.

Suggesting to add only one other weapon family because you "hate the tormented and destroyer skins and would prefer to get deldrimor ones" is rather ignorant. Instead you should have suggested to add multiple weapon families that are somewhat equal to the Tormented and Destroyer weapons (even though those two have a huge price gap...)

I think we should be able to add deldrimor weapons to HoM. Why? Becasue are gold weapons, are inscribable, dont drop as loot, you need to finish a campain to get to the crafter(more than that you need to finish the last mission again); just like destroyer and torment weapons.

After checking the price at the traders, a deldrimor weapon is only 1-2k cheaper than a destroyer weapon. Only diffrence is that materials for deldrimor weapon can be cradted by artisans.

The only thing that can make them not so elite is fact that there are green version equivalents.

Would be awsome, having dwarf weapons in GW2 = Rare coz they are all dead^^ I like that.
And they are almost as expensive as destroyer weapons. And most deldrimor weapons have great skins. especially compared to the ugly destroyer weapons.
I got some Destroyer weps atm coz tormented weps are expensive and iI want my HoM full >< hate that!

Actually deldrimor weapons are the only ones left. Nightfall has torment weapons, EOTN has destroyer weapons, Prophecies has deldrimor weapons and Factions has none(the crafter in divine path doesn't craft gold, inscribable or uniquie skin weapons).

They meet the req, they look better (imo) and they're around the same price.

Though, if they did deldrimor then norn/asuran/vanguard weapons would also have to be added as they are on the same tier as deldrimor. (being tied to a title track in eotn and being gold insc.)

Why not allow all end-of-campaign rewards? Sort of like showing the Guardian or Explorer titles, but those quickly get replaced by other trophies.

If they let you dedicate any more weapons they should be weapons like dhuum's soul reaper, obsidian edges and weapons that only drop from dungeon chests. But they're not going to add more weapons to hom because that's just more rewards they have to come up with for GW2. The price of the weapons is a weak argument for this idea because each individual decides the value of an item. Torment weapons are like 200k and require you to do an elite area many times. I don't even know how much destroyer weapons are because I never see anyone buying or selling one which is probably because they're so easy to get. With such a large discrepancy between destroyer and torment weapons it's pretty clearly the in game value of the items doesn't mean anything when it comes to hom.

Well you all have to remember that when destroyer weapons first came out, that diamonds and onyx were 10k each. Only after the duncan glitch and HoS budger runs did those prices drop and now with 600s and Perma sins running amok, driving the prices to bottom out, to make them as worthless as Deldrimore weapons are now. It was never intended, or dreamed of, that these dungeons would, or could, have been raped so easily when the destroyer weapons were introduced.

If we add more weapons to the HoM where will it stop? Everyone wants some skin or some such added to the Hall. There would be no end to it. The chosen weapon skins were added because they were considered to be "powerful" weapons for GW2, not because the skins were nice. Plus, no one really knows whether the skins for either of the current HoM will even be used in GW2 or if just having the shrine full will give access to a different style of weapon all together. Just buy the cheap destroyer weapons, fill your HoM and worry about what happens with them in 2 years instead of stressing about it now when too much is unknown. Either way, its not like they will be the ONLY skin to use in GW2. Im sure there will be other, nicer skins to use. After all, what about the people who play GW2 who never played GW1. They cant just be screwed over, unable to use anything, just because they didnt play the first game.

There's already one cheap low-end set of weapons to be unlocked in HoM - the Destroyer weapons. I know most of them are butt-ugly and would prefer if they looked differently, but it's not a good enough reason to add yet another low-end crafter set there.

Also note that the reason there are only 2 sets unlockable in HoM may be that those weapon models (or close) will be put in GW2 itself, so for example if you have unlocked all Destroyer weapons your every GW2 character will be able to pick up one destroyer weapon of his choice.

I personally would also like to have more options for weapons in HoM but I don't think it should be yet another craftable set... if I were an Anet dev and wanted to add more weapons there I would have to think about it objectively and answer the question of what would that change accomplish to the game?

If Deldrimor weapons were to be added it wouldn't accomplish anything except making that one gold sink stronger and increase prices of some common materials. Many players would just go and craft them all since they're cheap, and would quickly forget about the whole thing. Farmers who farm materials would have some extra profits from selling their basic materials for higher prices, and probably additional players would be encouraged to farm some more basic white trash to salvage for iron/dust/wood...
/meh
/bleh
nothing cool.

So if I were to add another weapon set it would be something new and more meaningful. The weapons wouldn't just be craftable in one place but they would be all spread around the world with different means of obtaining each of them, which could, instead of a simple boring gold and material sink, be a great tool for reviving some underplayed content like for example Tombs of Primeval Kings or Sorrow's Furnace. There's a whole world of possibilities of how players would obtain those weapons, and what would they be like....

But after all the thing that's most important when talking about HoM stuff is the knowledge of what really matters there... because we know nothing. If Anet suddenly made it possible to add some more weapons to HoM, even Deldrimor ones, but without telling anything more, players would blindly go and get them all, even if they already had all others unlocked and the new ones will give them no benefit.

So, first: explain how HoM works, then maybe add new unlock options there IF it would help improve the game as a whole (as opposed to making it easier for some)

Yes to Deldrimor golds
yes to EOTN race weapons if they're gold (no if not)
yes to Dhuum's scythe (the only green allowed)
yes to BMP weapons

They don't care about rarity/price for Minipets or Armors (the EOTN armors are pretty easy to get), why care about weapons? Heck you can even get a free MOX statue just for being level 10.

When it comes to filling up the HoM I say "let them eat cake." We've all put the time/money and helped garner the fame for them to even think about making GW2 rather than keep making GW1 games, so you might as well provide more than two options (one of which is the rarest weapons in the game, the other the ugliest).

Besides, all the devs have said conscerning the HoM bonuses is that your character will come out looking "pretty B-A" so I would imagine the bonuses are going to be mostly asthetic, so why make it so hard to get them. Not to mention, it would make business sense for ANET to not make it impossible to fill up a HoM in case anyone who starts out playing GW2 says to themselves "hey, why not go back and get those bonuses from GW1" since the GW1 games will probably be dirt cheap by then anyway.

^^/signed for person above me suggesting that underplayed places should get weapon sets to encourage play. I would love a reason to play Sorrow's Furnace again.

Not the same thing. Norn/asura/vanguard weapons are blue, cheap and not end game.

Also BMP weapons require real life money and are too easy to get.

But seriously, why can't I add more than one of a particular Mini to the HoM?

So you can't just add a bunch of the same white mini to fill it!

So instead we just trade around and get different types of white mini to achieve the same result. Really please let me dedicate multiple green and gold minis.

The Deldrimor weapons are pretty much the same thing as Tormented and Destroyer ones as far as I'm aware, so it would stop there. I'm not suggesting that green weapons or craftable blues should ever be allowed, but the Deldrimor set is just as high end as the Tormented and Destroyer weps are, I dont really see much reason for why they werent allowed in the first place.

Some elite armors are cheaper than others. Obsidian and Vabbi armor need lots more expensive materials than the rest, but you can still use cheaper elite armors like the EOTN ones instead, so I dont really think that price is an issue when it comes to what qualifies for HoM content and what doesnt.

Don't see anything wrong with end game golds to be added and deldrimor weapon do have nice skin imo.

Supply and demand is what driving this game and destroyer isnt like the hottest weapon to put on HoM.

Could add that I also want a statue on HoM for finishing EotN. >_>
